  • Day 1

    Arrive in Conegliano

Highlights: Conegliano Old Town, Prosecco wine route

Built at the foothills of the Prosecco UNESCO World Heritage Site, Conegliano is also the heart of Prosecco. Here, grapes have been cultivated for centuries, but it was in 1868 that Antonio Carpenè founded Carpenè Malvolti winery and started producing Prosecco sparkling wine for the first time. In 1876 the first Italian Enological school was built in Conegliano and is still today one of the most prestigious ones in the country.

If this is your first time in this area of Italy, consider coming a few days early to visit marvelous Venice, or explore nearby Treviso, a charming Italian art city with the same splendour but without the crowds.

Accommodation: Hotel Canon d'Oro or similar

  • Day 2

    Loop ride from Conegliano

Highlights: Serravalle, Prosecco vineyards and wineries

Enjoy your first day cycling lovely hills in the heart of the Prosecco region. Cycle along vineyards-covered hills all the way to historical Serravalle. Plenty of time to explore its cobblestone streets before heading back to Conegliano. Take time this afternoon for a walk in town or up to the castle for a great view over the surrounding villas.
